Dogwood Initiative is an organization that wants to make British Columbia the global model for sustainable land reform. 96% of BC is public land - yet large timber, mining and oil companies control over 88% of that land. Their operations can ravage the environment and impoverish local communities. Dogwood wants to ensure that BC residents have the right to make their own decisions about how the land they live on is used. Their work enables people to safeguard their communities for their children and their children's children. Dogwood encourages people to stand up and ensure that land-use decisions are made by those who live on the land.
